Stefania Pomponi Butler

Stefania Pomponi Butler aka CityMama is proud mother to "Bunny" and "Wallie" and wife to "J." She is a professional blogger/writer/editor/producer who covers style, food, pop culture, and (of course) parenting with a cheeky twist. In addition to writing her irreverant and delicious personal blog CityMama, Stefania is one of the Founding Editors of Kimchi Mamas (her culture and identity site) and MOMocrats.com (her political blog). She is also a Contributing Editor for BlogHer and pens their weekly newsletter focusing on shopping deals. She spoke at BlogHer07 on the subject of professional blogging. She passionate about helping bloggers navigate the world of bad PR pitches, and since BlogHer '07 has been putting PR people on notice that bloggers are professionals and should be treated accordingly. Her mantra: We are not here to do your marketing writing and promotional work for free! As a freelancer she contributes to various blogs and recently published an article in the November 2007 issue of Good Housekeeping. Until September 2007, Stefania was Blog Editor for Babble.com overseeing the parenting news and info blog Strollerderby as well as Droolicious (the baby product blog) and FameCrawler (the celebrity baby blog). Stefania is on the "Blogebrity B-list" and CityMama, with almost 3,000 RSS subscribers, is a Bloglines Parenting "QuickPick." Her work has appeared in various parenting magazines, in the New York Times, KoreAm Journal, Good Housekeeping, and on Pacific Time on NPR. Stefania was born in Honolulu, HI and has lived in Rome, Italy; San Francisco, CA; and Portland, OR. She currently resides in the Silicon Valley, CA where she blogs from the comfort of her bedroom/office.
