After several years living at our current location (we're still renting), one begins to notice how many "things" one has aquired. Especially if your other half is a bit of a pack rat. What do you do when you have all these "things" and the hubby just won't let you weed out the trash from what's useful? You store it. Somewhere.
A particular peeve of mine is bits of lumber that "will be good for something". Left over project parts, or perhaps projects that never really started, strewn across the garage floor. I wish I could throw it all to the curve! But oh no, the hubby says he's going to use it. So what do you DO with it?
So here I am muttering away trying to clean up the garage, and the neighbor comes to my rescue with a handheld strapping machine. God love him! We strapped up that lousy lumber and it now lives happily against the back wall, tidy and secure. I have no idea where he got the thing, but it sure was handy.
Unfortunately for him, I found many other uses for that strapping tool and after a few hours I had pretty much boxed, strapped, wrapped or tossed the stuff in our garage. And too bad what the hubby says, I didn't see him helping me out! Go me!
