Cece has been talking to her dad and sister about clutter. They all have it. They are all savers and they all make piles of stuff! They talked and talked about cleaning this and that out…about throwing things away and getting rid of “stuff!” 
They also talked about how hard it is to throw things away because of the memories attached to them.
Cece and her dad had a talk about personal assistants or having someone come in to help them..Cece for it…her dad not sure yet. As a depression baby, this is an unneeded expense and something he thinks he SHOULD be able to do on his own,…and he can. Cece’s point was that at his age, he should be enjoying life not dreading the repetitive tasks of dealing with “stuff!” So, the jury was out on the personal assistant….for both of them!
So, a few days later, Cece thought that she had better get started. She made a to do list and began to organize her “Clutter Fest.” She decided that mostly she would re-organize and throw out. That seemed like a good plan. She would start with her kitchen and begin organizing the cupboards and throwing out “Stuff” that she no longer used or things that were out of date. She organized the cupboard under her bathroom sink and sorted through and arranged all her makeup and containerized it. She cleaned a walk in closet out and threw lots of stuff away.
Oh My! This work is never ending! She agrees…there are so many more fun and rewarding things to do in life besides uncluttering….but when things are more organized and cleared, it feels so much better….except when she cannot find something that she stared out for over 5 years….it was right there in front of her computer! Her precious Heart Zones chart which is the size of an index card is missing! Where did she put it? She is sure she did not throw it away! Where did she re-organize it to? Cece hunted and hunted and could not find it…so she ordered a few more so in case she lost those….she would always have one!
Oh well,with this one act, she is adding in more clutter! Maybe she will tape the chart to her TV where she does her Spinervals DVDS….or onto her computer. Or in the basket that she keeps her “stuff” in… in front of the computer…that is really where it SHOULD be!
