Did you step outside today? If you live in New York you would have felt a significant drop in temperature. It was about 16 degrees. Brr!
Yes, it is blistering cold. I am complaining about the weather, too. But for me it is temporary, soon enough I will be in a warm car or house. I am thankful that I have a roof over my head in all weather conditions. Some people are not as lucky.
PLEASE GIVE to Coats for Kids on Long Island NY, I'm sure many of you received new holiday coats under the tree. Why not clean your closets and give to this great cause? HURRY it ends January 31st!
KJOY radio station, Mid Island Collision and Sno Haus are hosting Long Island's Coats for Kids Coat Drive! All coats collected will be donated to the Education & Assistance Corporation. EAC monitors over 600 boys and girls in Long Island's foster care system.
The coats collected will go to child-related programs, which include services for children who have been physically or sexually abused (Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center at The Pat and Mary Bagnato Place For Kids); mentoring (Chance to Advance) and court-appointed volunteer advocacy for children in foster care (CASA); scholarships for young people who dream of going to college; and education on how to keep children safe through passenger car seat inspections.
