Awkward confession: I've never been to a BlogHer Food conference.
I know, this is a terrible thing to confess as the Conference Programming Manager, and I honestly couldn't give you one good excuse as to why I haven't gone before.
I mean, I actually blog quite a bit about food, both on my own blog and on my Babble site. I'm an avid cook (sometimes it's even edible, unless it's cookies.). I have a love-love relationship with food, and also with blogging, and yet I've never attended the BlogHer event dedicated to my two favorite things in the world....more
Here at BlogHer we love our sponsors! The sponsors heavily subsidize the costs of the conferences making it possible for us to offer such low registration rates for our attendees year after year. Check out some of our amazing sponsors for the BlogHer '12 Conference in New York on August 2-4.
We thought it would be a good idea to feature some of our sponsors while everyone begins to gear up to have a blast in New York City!...more

We are another week closer to our exciting BlogHer Food Conference in Seattle this June 8-9. Last week I asked two of our speakers how they got started in food blogging. I thought this week I would go for a humorous question and answer with a few of our speakers who know a thing or two about flops in the kitchen.
First off, the question is:
What’s your biggest food blogging flop?...more

We'll get the opportunity to hear 15 of them read their posts live during the Closing Keynote on Friday, August 3rd, and the others will be honored on BlogHer.com....more

Suddenly it’s mid-April and I feel like we’re spiraling toward summer at a high rate of speed. Of course, that means that before we know it, BlogHer Food '12 will be upon us! As people begin to wonder what to pack for the Seattle weather and make plans to meet up with fellow bloggers, we thought we would bring you some pre-conference buzz and excitement via some mini-interviews with our speakers. We’re hitting randomly selected speakers with a quick question that we think will be of interest to those attending and those watching from home.
To kick things off, we thought we’d ask two speakers the question everyone wants to know: Why did you start food blogging?...more
