Confetti Skin, Beauty Within

United States

Confetti Skin is a mixture of personal anecdotes, science and research, and the realities of living with a rare skin disorder. The goal is to make information available to parents and caregivers in an easily understandable way. It is a joint effort by married couple Jennifer and Rachel. Rachel and three of their children are affected by a very rare form of ichthyosis.

Most information available about this disorder is written in scientific jargon or is difficult to access from scientific journals. Most social exposure to ichthyosis involves the rarest form and is often subject to online trolling. This blog is an effort to increase awareness and education and make information readily accessible to a parent of a newly born affected child or their doctors.
