Currently lacking full-time employment (is anyone looking to hire an excellent elementary school teacher?), I have been spending even MORE time in the kitchen lately, creatively using fun new ingredients and finally getting around to trying the numerous recipes I have clipped or bookmarked over the years.
Having always been obsessed with all things culinary (grocery and kitchen stores bring me an odd sense of happiness and peace), I have recently defined myself as possessing keen "culinary intelligence," in keeping with my teaching/educational studies of Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theory. This has resulted in a concept I like to think of as "The Smart Kitchen" (hence the title of my blog). For more on these ideas, click on the links at the top of the page!
Basically, this blog is a way for me to share all of my culinary experiments instead of constantly e-mailing or calling my friends and family with excitement and being met with, "You should really write that down for me."
