Crafty Paper Trees in Under An Hour

BlogHer Original Post

Christmas trees come in all shapes, sizes and colors. ;If you thought they were only green and piney, you would be wrong. The 80 around my house are all different colors. Some look like faux trees, others are of the crafty variety. My life goal this year is to make it to 100 Christmas trees. I can’t buy all those trees, so I’m going to make them. I’ve rounded up a few fun craft tutorials to get me (and you) started.

When I saw that my local Michael's was having a sale on cardboard cone trees, I loaded up. I have about 10 sitting on a table calling my glue gun's name. The adorable scrapbook paper-covered cone trees on DIY Mommy called to me immediately. I knew what a few of those trees I had were destined to be. God bless Christina for including a free downloadable template.

Diana from Anyone Can Decorate made me feel silly for buying my craft cones since she explains how to make your own on her post about paper trees. These adorable Christmas trees are covered with vintage postcards. I love this idea, since I have a suitcase full of my grandmother’s vintage postcards. I knew those suckers would come in handy in the craft department some day!

Debbie from Debbiedoo's always has something clever and crafty cooking on her blog. Her spin on cone trees are no exception. Instead of using paper cones or making her own cones, Debbie opted for foam trees. If you love crafts involving burlap, these trees are not to be missed.
