I've only just begun to carefully examine what I'm putting on my face, and the data is eye-opening, to say the least. </p> <p>One caveat: you have to look at your risk over time. (You have a greater cancer risk from sunbathing sans protection than ethyl...something.) No one got cancer from the talc in her face powder (still, I've converted to the talc-free kind) alone, and no one is saying to stop coloring your hair completely (lord no, please don't tell me to stop coloring my hair), but it's great to have options. So deep, in fact, that many of the products with which we slather ourselves daily can be causing us harm. Or perhaps you'd like a smattering of Ethylene Oxide, a breast carcinogen, with the shampoo that promised to make your mane thick and lovely? Perhaps a wee bit of Acrylamide, another carcinogen, in your sunscreen?
