Lisa, we are all blushing at your praise. Thanks for the spotlight on our Thanksgiving ideas. It's been fun. I do want to mention that I hope people will follow the links in the individual posts to other food bloggers, because there are lots and lots of great cooks out there writing amazing blogs about food.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I already have some leftover turkey in my fridge so I think I'll go eat some now!

How to cook Thanksgiving dinner like Elise, Kalyn and Alanna: From turkey to the South Beach Diet and beyond

One of the things I'm most thankful for this Thanksgiving is that there are some grown-ups in my kitchen. And I'm not just talking about my mother-in-law.

I'm talking about our very own BlogHer food editors, Elise Bauer, Kalyn Denny and Alanna Kellogg.

For those of you who don't know it, they educate millions of cooks online every Thanksgiving. While they each cook it all, it's my humble opinion that Elise can help you make a better turkey than anyone alive. If you have a special diet, doctor Kalyn's in the house. And Alanna is an absolute must-read for all vegetable lovers.

It's not just me talking -- check out this love note to Elise from the blogger who writes Champaign Taste in Champaign, Illinois:

An Elise Bauer Thanksgiving
"I discovered a veritable horn o' plenty of recipes for the Thanksgiving meal on Elise's food blog, and on the spot I decided to use several of them for my own dinner: the turkey, the mashed potatoes, the green beans, and the cranberry relish. So this year, the holiday meal will be my personal homage to that guiding star of food blogs that is [Elise's] Simply Recipes."

I have more good news: You don't have to be as organized or expert as Lisa from Champaign Taste to do what Elise, Kalyn and Alanna do. And I should know -- I'm just now learning to cook.

Here are links I recommend that have helped me enormously with the whole meal, from turkey to appetizers to desserts:

Elise's Simply Recipes: Thanksgiving Planning

Kalyn's Kitchen: A South Beach Diet Thanksgiving: Menu Options from Kalyn and Her Friends and Thanksgiving Recipes for Every Diet

Alanna Kellogg's Veggie Venture, covers everything from World's Best Green-Bean Casserole to Maple Ginger Sweet Potatoes

Are we having fun yet?

Yes, I think I actually will have fun cooking this Thanksgiving, thanks to this wonderful trio. I also got a lot out of Kalyn's post, Thanksgiving Advice on the Web is Not Just About The Recipes.

Perhaps next year I'll be as confident as MinJung, who shared her own RawkStar Entertaining tips on the easy, which will help me feed the non-turkey-eating meateaters in my crowd.

So enjoy. Thank you in advance, Alanna, Kalyn and Elise for saving my family from, well, heaven knows what.

And Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
