One of the activities that keeps the knitting blogger going is sharing their work; common goals mean shared delights and agonies. To help the knitter stay organized throughout the year, Natalie at Xavier Knits has organized all the Knit-A-Longs (known as KALs) and Swaps for the year.

So if you've imagined that it would be nice to knit a cozy sweater for Link Textthe guy in your life... there's a KAL for that (ends in January).

As the year goes along, there are bound to be interesting swaps and exchanges. Last year, one of the most favorite was a second sock syndrome swap. After knitting one sock of the pair, you would mail that sock, the pattern, and the rest of the yarn to another to finish.

So grab your shiny new 2007 calendar, and start thinking about knitting along...
