if there is a way that i could get that ticket from you, it would be greatly appreciated! i live in chicago, and cant really afford the full conference, so i didnt register, but i wanted to go to the unconference.

I need to come back earlier than expected on Sunday and am registered for the Unconference but won't be able to attend. Can I give my tickets away to someone who was not planning to go but now wants to attend?

Typically we try to accommodate food requirements

As a vegan, I'm well aware of how difficult it is to eat at events, but since we're working with catering departments (as opposed to ordering pizzas or burritos), we typically try to accommodate special needs.

At BlogHer Business the hotel made special meals for me, but also for another attendee who had allergies to eggs, dairy and I think wheat gluten too. The hotel treated both of us better than the Italian restaurant we went to dinner at the final night. I had a plate of lettuce and my allergy-ridden friend had a plate of lettuce...and the smallest steak we had ever seen.

An un-conference question...

Unless something lovely happens, I doubt I'll be able to go - yes, the conference is reasonable for a conference, but with plane tickets and hotel it's pricey for our family.

Anyhow, the un-conference says that the cost goes directly to the food. What about people who cannot eat the food (food allergies/celiac disease/etc)? I can see the need to register for the un-conference, but would be somewhat annoyed to be paying for conference food when I would have to also pay for the food I bring as well.

Sunday event end times for TV Goddess

Actually it will run from 9-2 at the minimum and maybe later, but since the format is so open and free-form, I think yo would get the value out of it, even if you had to leave before it is quite over. We'll be starting at 9AM with the agenda-setting hour.

I just registered for '07--yeah! But that fourth question ("What have you disliked about the conferences you've attended?") is problematic in that it presupposes an affirmative answer. And since it was a 'must answer' question, there was no option to leave it blank.

We're still finalizing the panels, speakers, and sponsors, but we wanted to give you a high-level overview of the conference activities (so you know what you're signing up for).

Day Two's activities will conclude with an extended private cocktail reception at the unique (and fun-for-all-ages) Chicago Children's Museum at the Navy Pier.

New for '07! Sunday, July 29 - The BlogHer "Un-Conference"

Based on your feedback, this year we've decided to add a "bonus" track -- an entire session devoted entirely to...well, whatever you choose. The "un-conference" will be a moderated session where the topics are up to attendees. It's a perfect opportunity to raise the issues that matter most to you -- about your blog, BlogHer, the blogosphere at large -- in a constructive, open forum.

The "un-conference" will be held at the Chicago City Centre, and will conclude early enough to allow for travel time from Chicago to your respective home towns.

You'll note that there are several registration options. You can register for both Friday and Saturday, or each day separately (which gives you access to the cocktail party that night). We are requiring a separate registration for the "un-conference" because we'll be serving breakfast and snacks and need to know how many attendees plan to attend this event in particular.

The "cocktail party package" is ideal for those of you attending with friends or family who won't be attending the sessions but will want to join you for evening activities. And speaking of family...

Registering for Childcare
We will be offering daytime childcare, onsite at the Navy Pier. Care will be provided by Corporate Kids Events (the same group that helped us out last year). More information about all the great stuff involved in the program will follow, but in addition to all the onsite playtime, children who are old enough will get to participate in some of the Pier's main attractions.

To enroll your child in our daycare program, you must register here.

At this time, we do not know what the final cost of childcare will be, because we are actively seeking sponsors to subsidize this program. We are therefore charging $50 per day (per child) as a deposit. This reflects the lowest possible rate (10 hours of care, or $5/hour). Should additional sponsorship not be available, the rates may go up to no more than $100 per day. You will be notified ahead of time if this is the case and will not be charged without your prior approval.

The deadline to register for BlogHer '07 is Friday, July 20, so get on it!
