Air Force Major Jill Metzger Gets "YouTube'd"!

Here's a video I put together that reports the FACTS as we know them in this collosal corruption case.

Its been exactly a year since Major Metzger and the US Air Force told us Metzger was "kidnapped, beaten and robbed". Too bad they can't account to the taxpayers why they've wasted tens of millions of dollars because of Maj. Metzger with no explanations or accounting for her statements and actions.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAO_09p-BuE

Enjoy! And be sure to rate the video and leave your comments.

Navy Captain Lisa Nowak , Air Force Major Jill Metzger

UPDATE 08/24/07

Lisa Nowak appeared in court today in Florida where she demanded her GPS ankle bracelet be removed.

The US Government still refuses to tell the people what exactly happened to Major Jill Metzger. Metzger has reportedly entered the annual Air Force Marathon at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio. She has been medically retired but is fit enough to run a marathon. This fact along with all the other contradictory and unexplained statements from the Air Force are destroying the Air Force's credibility---during the middle of a war.

Despite what these 2 officers have done, the US Air Force has decided to put on trial and court martial a rape victim---Airman Cassandra Hernandez at the Pope AFB in North Carolina. Details of this case and the upcoming trial are at the Air Force Times .Com .

I don't know how you ladies feel, but putting a rape victim on trial after failing to explain what happened to Major Metzger is very questionable.

I have done everything possible to bring these matters to your attention. I hope you are as outraged as I am---I can't see what purpose is served by putting a rape victim on trial. To do so sounds like something that would happen in Iran or Saudi Arabia, not the USA.

Betrayal Of Air Force Values- Metzger Being Allowed To Retire

The US Air Force's "core values" are:

Integrity First!

Service Before Self!

Excellence In All We Do!

Those values are now being betrayed by a corrupt Air Force chief of Staff and his OSI Commander. They have decided after 9 months to sneak Jill Metzger out the back door with a full medical retirement at taxpayer's expense with NO EXPLANATION as to her claims of being "kidnapped" in Krygyzstan last year.

What's next?? A full medical PTSD retirement for Navy Captain Lisa Nowak? This while honorable women wounded in the war receive far less!

No accountability, no explanations, no transparency, no single standard and definately no integrity----Is this what you want? What to you think honorable women who served and were injured in Iraq and Afghanistan think about this? Take a guess!

see MilitaryCorruption.Com for all the details.

Kim Ponders--Where are you? Please let the "inner General Patton" of your persona please arise to this occasion and tell us what you think!

Lisa Nowak, Jill Metzger, Sarah Scallian, Faye Turney

I agree with your sentiments about Royal Navy Seaman Fayne Turney. I don't want to be judgmental about her because she was captured and held hostage. If she sought economic gain from her captivity while still being on active duty then the Royal Navy and the Admirality may have an "issue" with her. My guess is that they just want it to go away!

There is a code of conduct for American Service Men and Women involved in situations like captivity. There is even a procedure called "Prisoner of War review" where the repatriated servicemember has to account for their conduct during captivity. The review provides a mechanism where heroic and meritorious conduct can be recognized and conversely, misconduct can be brought to light and possibily lead to sanctions/punishment.

All of this brings us back to the case of MAJOR JILL METZGER, UNITED STATES AIR FORCE. This case begs for exposure and a full accounting. Like I've said, Major Metzger is either a hero or a liar and scoundrel. I will let the almighty and (hopefully) a court of law determine that!

So far, the United States Government will not come clean about what most of us suspect is a corrupt effort to shield and protect Major Metzger from an accounting and possible prosecution. There is extremely strong probable cause and resonable suspicion to show that numerous Uniform Code Of Military Justice statues broken (lying, conduct unbecoming, false official statement, unauthorized absence from duty, self injury)--the list is quite long. This along with her family and husband's connections to the Air Force Brass and their Office of Special Investigation (OSI) do not inspire our confidence.

If you truly believe in Women's issues and legal, social, political and economic advancement/progress, then it is to the detriment of those beliefs/values not to ask for a full accounting with regard to Major Metzger's unexplained absence from duty.

It is my own personal belief that the Major Jill Metzger scandal is the mother of all Air Force scandals and makes what Major General Fiscus did pale in comparison!

MilitaryCorruption.Com and others are following this story.

Don't be too tough on Fayne

Don't be too tough on Fayne Turney. All very well for us to say these things about her; we're not the ones who had her experience. And contrary to what some may think, the vast majority of people - women included - are not shining examples of what we would like to be. Mostly, they're just ordinary folk like us, trying to get by. Same strenths, same weaknesses.

I can see why you'd object to her deal, but look at it this way. How many veterns do you know that get a rough deal because of their service? Tramatised, scarred and injured for life, with way too many ending up on the streets. For once in a while its good to see a few of the pawns make it off the chessboard with something to show for it. The kings, queens and bishops (i.e., presidents, ministers, political leaders, etc) do it often enough.

Mind you, I love the line about wrestleing with your inner-Patton!

Yes, they most certainly are out there as I witnessed them first hand in Iraq. In fact, I have some pictures of them on Link Text
I'm trying to make a tribute website to them at No Women in Combat My Ass, (url listed below) but there's just not much information out there. Please keep me posted and I'll be more than happy to list any of your projects on the site.

What does being a petite young woman have to do with her service or her capture? (Besides the fact that being a female combatant and a prisoner still qualifies as a novelty, I guess.) And is it really "fame" if you were a prisoner of war?

Many of the young men and women in my college classrooms LOOK like children to me - still growing and forming physically and in all other dimensions. It can't be much different in boot camp.

Lisa Nowak, Jill Metzger, Sarah Scallian, Faye Turney

Yep, I would have to agree with the author's sentiments.

These 4 women have done irreparable damage to women's issues, women's progress, women's reputations, foreign relations, national security, and western civilization.

That's pretty serious.

So why the double standards? Why the free pass? Can any amongst us explain why Silly Willy Jilly, Wacky Lisa, Lying Sarah and Sea"man" Turney are not treated as "others" have?

Hmmmm. Very Interesting and revealing.

Metzger, Nowak, Turney, Scallian

There seems to be a common theme and denominator here.

It's called a "double standard of justice".

The Major Jill Metzger scandal has many of the same elements as the Nowak story. Both have sex--Silly Jilly had an abortion downtown and became absent from duty. Both scandals involve betrayal and in Metzger's case more then infidelity but the egregious damage of relations between 2 nations during a time of war. Major Metzger's actions were willful acts in slandering/damaging a host nation and lying during a war to cover her own loss of integrity and loyalty.

I'm sorry, but that is very gory and ignoble. Major Metzger is clearly either a hero or a contemptible scoundrel. I will let you decide. How have others been imprisoned under similar or lesser circumstances?

So why the double standard of justice? Why hasn't Lisa and Jill been treated as others have and been taken into custody, put under restrictions/restraint/arrest? When may we the people see their respective OSI/NCIS reports and if there are none, why not and who made those decisions?

We the people / taxpayers and SOME media would like to know!

This is all very demoralizing to our troops. They see the leadership as emperors without clothes. The troops see the attempted "sweeping under the rug" of these cases while they see others tried, convicted, sanctioned, punished, convicted.

So let’s be honest with ourselves. If Jill or Lisa or Sarah or Faye had been any other “person”..…
They would have been taken into custody immediately…
They would not make bail….......
The OSI / NIS would be “interviewing” them on an hourly basis and on a “special” basis….....
If confinement facilities weren’t available on their base then a local county sheriff would be contracted to confine the prisoner until sentencing and transfer to Ft. Leavenworth. (and that would happen so fast it would make the Sheriff green with envy.) .............
Their convening authorities would be having orgasms as they called their Judge Advocates and referred, preferred and dreamt up new charges on a minute by minute basis…......
Every shyster “defense” attorney they spoke to on military installations would be telling them “don’t bend over in the showers at the place your going to”…..........
Their commanders would be all popping champagne corks as the case against the accused moved forward and was docketed. The speed at which the trials would be convened would set a new world record.....
Notices for volunteer detailed escorts for the prisoners (everybody else is in Iraq) would flood the daily and weekly base bulletins…......
The Command Staffs would be having contests to see who can suggest another legal or administrative maneuver or instrument to levy against the accused........
Control roster, security clearance removal, assignment to menial tasks, etc etc.......
Derogatory performance reports would be written and re-written again and again (until the commander likes them) even though a conviction wasn’t expected for another week.......

Yes, we know how damnable double standards work.

Weirdos and weenies of either sex in uniform -- ugh

I'm a retired Navy Commander (O-5) and I'm resigned to the fact that equality of opportunity means that some loser women are going to be in my Armed Forces, just like some loser men.

Remember Congresswoman Bella Abzug's comment, "We want a woman schlemiel to get promoted as quickly as a male schlemiel."

Captain Nowak seems like a classic case of a high achiever being unhinged by the emotional storms of an affair. There's no fool like an old fool, male or female (and I'm 46!)

Leading Seaman Turney, like her male counterparts, does not seem to have had proper training in Code of Conduct/POW conduct for British Armed Forces. Yes, she's a mother -- so am I, that does not excuse much of anything. Hell, it ought to make you tougher.

You should resist capture, you should not sign or videotape "confessions" until you have resisted to your absolute limit, you go about your business as a professional when you get home and not a shill for the tabloids.

What is interesting is that once again, people are realizing that women are serving everywhere in the military, in larger numbers than ever before. In the volunteer US military, stretched now as it is, we could not survive without them.

On Jill Metzger--that was a very strange story and one I waited in vain to see resolved. But it's low on the gory-scale, so I suspect the AF will have an easier time sweeping it under the rug.

You Forgot One---Bad Stuff Comes In "3's"

The author forgot one big important case!

That of Air Force Major Jill Metzger who claimed she was "kidnapped, beaten and robbed by bandits, robbers and terrorists" in Kygryzstan last year.

So far, the Air Force has refused to explain what happened.
Major Metzger claimed she single handedly overpowered her abductors and heroically escaped.

So when is the Air Force going to either recognize Jill Metzger for her "achievements" or tell us what really happened to Major Metzger last September! There is no equivocation or vacillation to be made---either she did or she didn't get kidnapped and escaped.

The disturbing revelations of her husband being an Air Force (OSI agent) criminal investigator and her father being a retired Colonel do not inspire our confidence. Media and concerned citizen FOIA requests are being ignored, obstructed and stonewalled.

MilitaryCorruption.Com has run many articles and the staff are so disgusted they have put up a "countdown clock" to show the elapsed time since Major Metzger returned to her duty station at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. Major Metzger is no longer a unit commander (that begs for explanation in itself) and has been assigned to low level duties in the base manpower office.

We think the brass is waiting for the furor to blow over so they can then sneak "silly jilly willy" out the back door with a big fat taxpayer paid 100% medical pension (this while honorable women injured in Iraq receive far less).

The Wrong Service

Although the US Air Force is better known than the US Navy for things that fly, the US Navy does have aircraft and pilots to fly them.

Lisa M. Nowak, late of the Astronaut Corps, is not a Colonel in the US Air Force. Nowak is a Captain in the US Navy. The ranks of Navy Captain and Air Force Colonel are equivalent (grade O-6) but there is no other similarity.

We Sailors might be wishing that CAPT Nowak could just quietly go away but nobody seriously thinks that's going to happen anytime soon. In the meantime, we'll take our lumps without transferring any blame to our brethren in the Air Force.

To Two Sisters in Uniform: Thanks for Nothing

Those of you who read my blog know I’m no war-hawk. However, as a part-time reservist I sometime wrestle with my inner-Patton. Both of my novels deal with the issue of being a woman in the military and, consequently, what it’s like to live under a spotlight and have all of your actions reflect on every other woman in uniform. We’ve had some doozies. Anybody remember Lieutenant Kelly Flynn, for example? And we have two new hall-of-famers—US Air Force Colonel Lisa Nowak and British Royal Navy Leading Seaman Fayne Turney—to make the rest of us look, er, like we’re wearing shoes we can’t quite fill.

US Navy Captain [corr. see below] Nowak is the now “former” NASA astronaut who attacked the girlfriend of a fellow astronaut for whom she left her husband. I mean, like, that’s all she did? Lordy, it’s a wonder she only tried to kidnap and bludgeon her rival and didn’t fly the space shuttle in the women’s house. Naturally, the Orlando police have now revealed that along with all the weapons she was carrying, she also had photos of sexual bondage scenes on computer discs. Yeah, guys, military chicks really ARE freaky! Remember that the next time you think about asking one of us on a date.

In terms of role models, I’m even less inspired by the British seaman, Fayne Turney, recently released by the Iranians. She was evidently the first to submit to the will of her captures (though fortunately for us girls, her male crew members proved equally pliable). Back home, she was the first to sell her story to the press under a special “one day only sale” rule granted by the British government. In her tale, she described her ordeal and how she was fooled into false confessions by the threat of imprisonment and the ole “sizing me up for a coffin trick,” which has evidently still not seen its last sucker. Turney’s commander, Royal Navy Lt. Felix Carman, called the book deal “unsavory”, but commented that she was at least securing a financial future for her child. And cha-ching, another great female roll model is born.
