Thank you!

Hi Kaylyn! Thanks so much for linking to me! :) Sushi is a LOT easier than you may think...the hardest part is getting the rice right, from there it's easy-peasy. I've really been craving it lately...I guess it's time to make some more! :) Thanks again!

Best, nikki

I doubt I would do it either.

Andrea, I doubt I'd make it either, but I do admire those who have the patience. Especially the mother who made it with her young son.

Love sushi!

I do love sushi, but I'm too lazy to make it for myself. It qualifies as one of those foods that I would rather have someone else make for me!

Roll Your Own: Making Sushi

Photo of Sushi Rolls by Peddlinshutterbug of Simple Perspectives.

If you love sushi but haven't really thought of making it yourself, pay close attention as these food bloggers show you how easy it is to make sushi at home.

You have to make the rice first, so Helen of Beyond Salmon gives great instructions for how to make sushi rice.

Another great post on making sushi rice by Amy of Nook and Pantry.

One of my very favorite food blogs is Sushi Day, an entire blog about making sushi! Talented Allison makes every kind of sushi imaginable, including recent entries such as Spicy Tuna Salad Roll, Banh Mi Sushi, and Sushi with Salmon, Crab, and Unagi.

At A Fridge Full of Food, Glenna is never afraid of a challenge, and she shares step-by-step photos of her very first time making sushi.

Jaden at Steamy Kitchen teaches classes on making sushi, and she has a slide show with intructions for making a handroll in her post about how to Host Your Own Temaki Sushi Party. You could serve your sushi with Jaden's Simple 10-Minute Miso Soup.

Confessions of a Foodie Bride makes some delicious-looking California Rolls.

Another post with great photos of homemade sushi is found at Canarygirl.

And finally, Twiddletails proves that making sushi is so easy that even kids can do it.

Food Editor Kalyn Denny cooks and blogs at Kalyn's Kitchen, where she has never made sushi but created a recipe for Grilled Spicy Tuna with her favorite sushi roll in mind.
