A differnt middle class

I'm new here and I would say we need to reestablish a stronger and a different middle class in America www.peppylady.blogspot.com/2007/06/new-and-improve-middle-class.html
But other issue need addressed and taken care is.
1) Heath Care for all.
2) Good Education for all
3) To protect the environment
4) To better mange our resources
5) The debt we are in
6) To improve our self on world as good neighbors.

BlogHers Act: Week One Round-Up

Wow. You all are AMAZING. The depth and breadth of brainpower, knowledge and heart in this organization is INCREDIBLE. Since we announced BlogHers Act on Tuesday so many of you have responded with passion and conviction detailing the issues you want to see this community get behind. A round-up is below. But, first, if you arenâ€™t familiar with what we are working to achieve through the BlogHers Act project, hereâ€™s a re-cap:

BlogHers Act, a year-long initiative to harness the incredible power of women online will take on two things: 1. Making a difference on a single global cause; and 2. Identifying the top four issues that women online want the U.S. Presidential candidates to address in order to win our votes in the â€˜08 Election.

Your job is to tell the community â€“ either in the comment section below, or on your own blog â€“ about the global issue (s) you want BlogHer to support for the next 12 months, as well as the top issues you want the Presidential candidates to address in order to gain your vote. If you write a blog post please tag it BlogHers Act and come back here and put a link to your post in the comments below.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUGGESTIONS IS JUNE 15th. A survey will be developed from your suggestions and look for the survey â€“ AND VOTE â€“ starting on JUNE 25th. The results will determine the causes we will talk about and organize around at BlogHer â€˜07 on July 27th. The key to this project is that we are going to take ACTION and make it happen.

Hereâ€™s a summary of what you had to say about BlogHers Act this week:

Morra, who is heading up the election push, has a great post on feedback so far on election issues here. Be sure to read Virginiaâ€™s post too.

Darfur is the one issue that stands above the rest for Britt Bravo, and she wrote an amazing post about why, including suggested actions, and informative links.

Beth Kanter suggests Lifting Women Out of Global Poverty, and be sure to read the stories in her post.

With deep understanding and comprehensive statistics, Dorothy posted â€œChildcare in America â€“ Shame on Us.â€ Be sure to read the comments, too.

Childhood education and care is also the area Suzanne Reisman believes is the issue of utmost importance and her post contains some really interesting background. Liza also shared her concerns about education and childcare issues.

Deb Robyâ€™s list included: Global warming, health care, protection of retirement benefits, and one that made many of us think â€“ infrastructure redevelopment.

Read this motivational post on Crunchy Carpets about using the power of BlogHer to give women globally the chance for their voices to be heard.

Mama Zen from The Zen of MotherHood wrote movingly about the rights of the developmentally disabled.

Nuclear waste contamination is the global issue at the forefront for Baby Whispering Loudly, who writes passionately and from experience, about the subject.

Purse power is the way Diane MacEachern thinks we will change the world, and she included a suggestion to make a $1 billion impact.

Along these lines, Mary Hunt of In Women We Trust wrote (and included great background information) that her number one issue is around the belief that we, â€œdemand that all products meet Sustainable Standards and we can stop global warming.â€

Weighing is was Nina Smith saying teaching the next generation how to be financially literate is the key issue.

Lia asked how we could influence â€œAccountability and Diplomacyâ€ in areas such as the economy, social issues, politics and the environment, individually and with our leaders.

Divabat wants more attention on issues of alternative education and student welfare â€“ and is looking for others who are interested in the subject.

Educational freedom and reform is deeply important to Shannon, PhatMommy, and the one she wants to get behind.

The Two Angry Moms say, â€œFOOD!â€ particularly when it comes to our kids.

And be sure to read Elisaâ€™s post titled, â€œBlogHers Act: The speaker who wonâ€™t be at BlogHer.â€ It will be sure to get you motivated.

Birdie Jaworski thinks the BlogHers Act project can save the world and sums it all up beautiful in her essay, â€œFocalize, Vocalize, Localize.â€

For another dose of motivation, we love this post, â€œMargaret Mead is on to somethingâ€ from Queen of Spain blog, too.
