Ryan and Michael Verdi have provided an invaluable service for helping people who are rank beginners with vlogging. I have already put in an order for their vlogging book, which hasn't been pubished yet!

Learning how to videoblog

When I started videoblogging it was mostly learn as you go, since there were only a handful of people you could turn to when you had a problem with compression for the web or any other video issue.

Thankfully, today there are many people ready to help. Among them is Ryanne Hodson, one of the first female videobloggers who has been a steady presence within the vlogging community.

One of the most helpful tools she helped to create was Freevlog. A step-by-step multi-language videoblog tutorial designed to help those just starting out and interested in creating their own vlog for free. It also showcases new vlogs so you can keep up-to-date with all the new kids on the block.

As Freevlog says:

A vlog is a videoblog and you want one because, let's face it, they're not going to put you on TV. Besides, not playing that game is what makes this so much fun. You can do whatever you want.
