It makes me angry too. Who

It makes me angry too. Who are these people that they think that they can legislate what we do with our bodies? I'm not asking much. I just want to decide for myself. My beautiful daughter would not be here were it not for my right to choose. Some would answer that with "you would love another." My daughter was meant to be. The world is a better place because she is in it. It angers me and saddens me to think that people out there are trying to take her choice away from her, too.

pro choice

I'm absolutely outraged......seems to me that all us women have accomplished to be respected and have our vote in this male run society I cannot believe this has happened .....all we have gained to have a voice and make it count is now headed backwards. I'm from Vermont and our state was the first to allow same sex marriages.... you can guarantee there will be more states that will jump on this band wagon very soon and before you know it a woman will have no say as to what she can do with her own body before you know it............we need to come up with our own proposals that hold men just a s accountable as women where pregnancy, birth control and abortion are concerned.....please let me know of any groups I can join to help end this maddness.......as in my opinion it's not really about abortion it's about our rights as women to make choices.......

I'm sadly used to it by now

I've been angry pretty much every day since Bush was coronated in 2001. I just can't understand how how the hell we find ourselves in this situation.
One of the first things I

One of the first things I did upon hearing this on NPR was take a look at the make up of the SD House... I don't like to assume gender, but in general counted 55 men out of 70. I wonder how the 15 women voted...

Legislated Misogyny

I know you wanted ideas - I wish I had something more to offer than what's already been mentioned. And as an expat, I've never felt further away from where I need to be. I want to take to the streets, and shout and protest. Yet my rage from 3000 miles away makes me feel so ineffectual.

But I'm not alone. American women everywhere are outraged and talking about it.

It's legislated misogyny, and it must be stopped.

If You're Pro-Choice and Not FURIOUS Today....

Ladies, if you're pro-choice and not outraged by South Dakota...

...then read today's press. Start here at the Washington Post
.

I just can't believe this. Abortion is banned in South Dakota. NOW and NARAL need to pull out ALL the stops here. This has got to be their moment.

If you want to have a voice, then get involved with NARAL. Get angry. Write an op-ed. Post to your blog. As Amanda suggests in this post, call Rep. Hunt. If you want to call your Rep, click here for more information.

Any other ideas? Post a comment.

This bill is extreme- it doesn't allow for abortions even for victims of incest or rape.
