Well it hit me this week when I read an article on <a href="http://www.cnn.com">CNN</a> and a <a href="http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2007/11/teen-gets-deten.html">blog</a> posted by Michael Winter about the middle school girl who received two days detention for HUGGING! It hit me immediately. </p> <p>Something is definitely wrong with our school systems as a whole. </p> <p>In Illinois they are telling the children to be cold and not to show any affection. Then we have the middle school in Maine - handing out birth control to their students. No wonder our middle school girls are confused. I'm confused! </p> <p>Maybe the school administration in Illinois believes that if they are strict enough about about their "no public display of affection" their students won't end up pregnant in high school.
