Since I am the only person who would give her jewelry, besides my 14 year old daughter, that will never happen. Two reasons - 1) charm bracelet is too girl for TW 2) I'm trying to break her of that old Republican habit, not reward her for bad behavior! Heh.

I wanted the bracelet, too. But my sister laughed at me and told me I should ask for a diamond, ruby and sapphire tennis bracelet instead. I don't even know if they make those! ;)

Ten Holiday Gift Ideas for Conservatives

When it comes to holiday shopping, I am known as the Queen of Procrastination. I always wait until the last possible minute to purchase a gift, probably because I'm hoping the perfect gifts will magically arrive on my doorstep, ready for wrapping, tagging and placing under the tree.

What do I buy for my Uncle Hank, the die hard Republican? I've got ten great gift ideas sure to please the conservatives in your life.

1) Funny political DVDs are popular gifts for the conservative with a sense of humor. Dennis Miller's All In and The Raw Feed are two of my favorites. If an audio CD to play on the drive to work is more your style, Still Ranting After All These Years is available at Amazon.com. But if strong language will offend the recipient of these gifts, I say pass on Miller and pick up Best of the Colbert Report. (Come on, even Republicans have to laugh at themselves once in awhile.) On a more serious note, Michael Savage's Freedom of Speech is highly recommended as well.

2) Conservative books are all the rage this year, and Whitewash: What the Media Won't Tell You About Hillary Clinton, but Conservatives Will and Crazies to the Left of Me, Wimps to the Right: How One Side Lost Its Mind and the Other Lost Its Nerve are two of the most popular picks at Amazon.com. Conservative Book Club recommends My Grandfather's Son by Clarence Thomas and Conservative Comebacks to Liberal Lies by Gregg Jackson.

3) What about t-shirts? ThoseShirts.com offers a great selection. Some are more radical than others, and I've got the "Old School Conservative" tee on my wish list this year:

4) RightWingStuff also offers a great selection of conservative bumper stickers. For the pro-life advocate, my favorite is "Pro Woman, Pro Child, Pro Life".

5) A subscription to a conservative newspaper is a great gift for the right-leaning politico in your life. Human Events sends a free copy of Ann Coulter's latest book If Democrats Had Any Brains They'd Be Republicans. (This is also a great way to sneak a peek at the snarky author's latest rantings.)

6) For the pickiest recipients, the 2007 Official White House Christmas Ornament is a safe bet. This ornament honors the first administration of President Grover Cleveland, with an image of the ceremony of Cleveland's marriage to Frances Folsom.

7) For the consevative woman who loves jewelry, you can give the gift of a Republican charm bracelet. I'm thinking this may be the best gift for Mom. She can wear it at Christmas, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and of course Election Day.

8) Rush Limbaugh fans will love The Dittohead's Guide to Adult Beverages
