When BlogHer changes its Privacy Policy, it will provide you with a summary of the material changes in this Change Log. Of course, this is only a summary. You may also wish to review the modified policy against the previous policy. To make this possible, the previous policy will be posted on our website for a period of at least 10 days.

February 8, 2008

Section 1 - Information We Collect: We have added definitions of "Personal Information," "Anonymous Information," and Aggregated Information" to clarify the types of information that we collect. We have also added a statement that we do not intentionally gather Personal Information about users who are under the age of 13. We have included examples of the types of Personal Information that we collect and the means by which such information is gathered. We added a provision about information that our users provide to us about third parties.

Section 2 - Use of Your Information: We added this section to explain how we use the information that you provide to us.

Section 3 - Disclosure of Your Information: We clarified that we may receive Personal Information from strategic partners and may add such information to information we have collected from our users. We also added provisions to notify you that we will only share Personal Information with our third party contractors to provide the services requested by us and to our affiliated companies provided that they agree to comply with our Privacy Statement. We also reserve the right to disclose Personal Information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect or defend our rights, property or users.

Section 5 - United States Law: We explained that the US laws that govern the Privacy Statement may be less stringent that the laws of other countries.

Section 6 - Security: We added this section to inform you about the steps that we take to protect Personal Information.

Section 7 - Dispute Resolution: We have provided you with mechanisms by which your complaints and disputes can be investigated and resolved.

Section 8 - Changes to Your Personal Information: The Privacy Policy now states that you retain the rights to edit and/or delete your Personal Information.

Section 9 - Privacy Statement Updates: We have revised this section in order to assure you that we will provide you with at least 30 days notice of any material changes to the Privacy Policy.
