I, too, thought the large white handbag would be the perfect accompaniment to my summer wardrobe. So, I purchased one last year and felt oh, so smug and trendy!

That is, until I put it in my lap while driving. Not a good plan. Go here for the results of that little misstep.

Suffice it to say that the picture of me wearing "rings" made out of the cruise control shaft from the steering column of my car...well, it just doesn't do the scene justice. My blog post explains the situation in greater detail, but you can bet that I won't be driving with the bag in my lap any longer. In fact, I've given up the purse altogether. It's sort of lost its luster for me!

Summer is right around the corner, so it's time to lighten up and look for accessories that will work with your summer wardrobe. May I suggest a white handbag?
