Personal note. I just fell in love with art and museums when I visited the Lourve in Paris for the first time. It has been years since I was at a museum and I just in awe. It was very inspirational to see the great masters work and how I can apply those principals to portraits in this era.

I do not know if you would say my blog is of note, but I have a lot of visitors from allover the world and a large part of them from USA. It is the blog where one can always find what is the latest in the world of design. Right now I am following the event that is most talked about - Design Miami/ Basel 2008 and the much discussed at the moment "Design-art" phenomenon. It is true that for most of the not well informed readers the titles Design Miami/ Basel 2008 are connected with what Brad Pitt spent there, but I think that this is a theme that reflects quite well the current situation in the fiiled of design. The discussion 'Is design art?' is not new, but it is for the first time now that design products are sold at auctions and for a good price, too.

Thanks for sharing these great art and design blogs! I'm a Canadian art blogger, not a European one, but I'm not in the US, so I thought I'd take advantage of the opportunity to tout my own blog!

The Earthly Paradise is about art history in general, with a special focus on the Pre-Raphaelites and Arts and Crafts Movement (though lately I've been chronicling my latest trip to Paris). I write regularly about architecture and the decorative arts as well.
