Admit it. A good party is often made better by great food and drink (not to mention the right mix of people). So, does that mean you have to break the bank and stock a full bar to wow your guests? Nope. Simply serve a killer Signature Cocktail along with a variety of beer and wine and your guests will be thrilled.

A few months ago, we taped a Signature Cocktails episode of Six Minute Style, featuring four fun recipes: Green Tea Martini, Pomopolitan, Kir Royale and Black Velvet. Each one boasts different liquors and different colors, along with tiny bubbles in two of them. Check out the show and then try them yourself to determine which one is best for your next gathering (okay, invite a few girlfriends over and call it research).

One last thought: To really make your signature drink stand out, drape a linen napkin across a cocktail tray (available at restaurant supply stores), set your chosen cocktail on top, and pass out to guests as they arrive. They'll love the special attention and won't even notice that their favorite bottle of gin isn't on hand.
