Contributing Editor, Britt Bravo, also blogs at Have Fun * Do Good and NetSquared. Two bloghers, Jill and Marilyn, have started Bloggers for Darfur: A Global Online Community Calling for Action to Stop the Genocide in Darfur .

Here are some of the ways that you can participate in Bloggers for Darfur:

* Post a photo of a candle on your blog with a link to their blog. (You can also use their icon photo here.)

* Leave a comment here with the permalink to your candle post.

* Add your candle photo to the Bloggers for Darfur Flickr group.

* Add the Bloggers for Darfur button to your blog or website [a coded badge is available on their blog site].

* Add yourself to the Bloggers for Darfur Frappr map.

* Join the Bloggers for Darfur Yahoo group.

Obviously, putting a badge on your site is not going to end genocide in Darfur, or anywhere else, but I think it can raise awareness, which may motivate people to contact their government leaders and ask them to take action.
