 <title>A Mother&#039;s First Blog</title>
 <link>http://www.blogher.com/mothers-first-blog</link>
 <description>&lt;p&gt;This is my first blog ever and I am not even sure what I should write.  First and foremost, let me tell you a little bit about myself and my family.  My name is Stephanie and I am 38 years old.  I have been married to Ed for a little over 14 years.  Some days it seems like it was just yesterday we got married and other days it feels like we have been married for a lifetime.  We have two children together....Kaylee is 13 years old and Carawan is 7 years old.  We live in a rural area in Southampton County Virginia.  I work full time and then come home to another full time job, the kids, the husband, and the household.  My oldest daughter was born on my birthday...talk about a present for your birthday!!!To much of my surprise children are hard work.  Today was a typical day,  I get up around 5 am in the morning, rush around the house like a chicken with my head cut off to get ready for work.  My youngest daughter does not want to wake up.  I have to leave the house by 6:00am to be at work by 8:00am.  I drop Carawan off at the babysitter&#039;s and then I&#039;m on the road...I have plenty of bonding time with myself for a 2 hour drive to get to work.  Usually, I am late because of traffic.  Finally by 8:20am I arrive at work.  I work in the health care insurance business and I handle grievances and complaints.  After a long day at the office, I am back in the car again for another 2 hour drive....Then my full time job as a mother and a wife kick in.  The minute I walk in the door, the kids are asking....  Whats for dinner?  Is there ever a time a mother can walk in the door and kick off her shoes and put her feet up?  I am beginning to wonder?  I usually do not get to bed till 11:00 or 12:00 at night.  And then before you know it, the alarm is going off and I hit the snooze button several times and then it is a repeat of the day before.  &lt;/p&gt;
