Hi buzzgirl. I noticed that the BlogHer conference offered a lot of flexibility in being able to attend all or certain chunks of the conference. If that still left attending out of your financial reach I'm sorry to hear that.

There is a women's conference I want to attend next month and I've been offered a partial scholarship but I think having to buy a plane ticket and book a hotel room will still keep it out of my reach.

It's disappointing but encourages me to start saving now for next year!

Are you implying that a "certain type of blogger" are all rich?

Lots of people of ALL colours have money issues...lots of women SCRAMBLED to see if they could afford to attend...MANY MANY OTHERS COULD NOT.

Also for all that attended..as a NON American...and a person who lives in a multicultural city and nation...I find the whole black vs white thing that still prevails to be quite shocking.

For an amazing conference! This half of 5 Resolutions was honored to be there and meet so many fabulous and inspiring women. I'm still basking in the good vibes.

I live blogged most of the Political Commentary session, and did an overview of some of the friendly faces I encountered. I'm also working on a post with some highlights of the body image and self-esteem related sessions I went to.
