Hi Liz,

Cruising the BlogHer Sex and Relationships Community Blog Posts

The thing about sex & relationship blogging is that many people don't do it all the time. I don't do it all the time. I have a personal blog where I blog about a whole host of me-centric things. So if you want to regularly read a variety of sex & relationship posts, may I suggest the BlogHer sex & relationships community? You can pull the BlogHer sex & relationships "all posts feed" and read about sex & relationships to your heart's content. Our community bloggers have a lot of different viewpoints and experiences to offer.

We ask questions.

Shauna blogged Texting and Dating, Do they Mix? She's dating again in her 40s and a little unsure how texting fits into the new scene - and how much she's comfortable with. I *love* texting, but I've definitely gotten into exchanges where I was thinking, OK, now this is a little absurd.

Claudia Broome wants to know, What is your opinion on someone's wearing the wedding gown of an ex-bride who is now an ex-wife?

Shaba wonders Simmer Uncovered? What’s the difference between “settling” and “compromising?” And is there a lid for every pot?

We share our experiences.

Don't miss this post from Corina Fiore on Postpartum Depression:

The worst of these times was after delivering Sweetie. And, although I lived through times when I considered suicide, this trumped any and all previous depressive episodes. I so wish that I could say that becoming a mom was a joy. I so wish that I could say that I felt instantly bonded with Sweetie, and that the day that Sweetie was born, I too was born as a mother. Postpartum depression robbed me of that. It left me weak in spirit, with mush for brains, and spawned thoughts I care not to speak out loud.

Or this moving piece from Anissa Mayhew who has to give Props to my husband, yo!

Peter and I were sitting at our very first cancer group meeting of
any kind at an American Cancer Society R.O.C.K. weekend in Orlando. At
Disney World. Oh yes, we were sitting in the happiest place on earth
being told there was an 80% chance that by the time we got our child to the 5-year survival mark, our marriage would be on the negative side of that statistic. Hubby leaned over at that point and whispered in my ear, “Please don’t leave me.”

As IF!

And I loved her post All About Sleeping With Pete. I really struggle with the sleeping alone, so I could practically feel this post while I read it.

We give advice.

MJ says God Bless the Purse-Holders.

Lainie offers Ten Things I Will Not Accept. And which *I* will print out and pin to my bulletin board.

And we share our observations.

Love this fabulously linky post from Bianca Reagan, Thrusting racism upon babies who just got here, which examines the wording of various headlines about twins born with different skin tones.

Candelaria Silva considers Forever, Former, Fleeting - The Nature of Friendships. Serial friendships vs. the forever friend.

And I'm ending with pole dancing, baby. Mostly because I secretly want to take a pole dancing class, but I'm a scared of going to buy the shoes. (I heard you have to bring the shoes.) Amber Rhea, on the other hand, blogs Now as for things that I feel passionately about…

...when I'm pole dancing, I feel joyful and whole, I feel a happiness that I rarely feel at any other time that permeates my entire being, I feel ALIVE - and the last thing on my mind is what "Teh Menz" might be thinking (especially because nine times out of ten, there AREN'T ANY MEN PRESENT anyway).

She's passionate about way more than pole dancing, so check her out.

So many great sex & relationship posts from the BlogHer community! I'm going to do more feature posts like this one - maybe one every couple weeks - so please keep 'em coming. Meanwhile, grab our feed because it was an embarrassment of riches, and I couldn't feature them all.

~

Contributing editor Liz Rizzo also blogs at Everyday Goddess.
