Denver Conventions

I'm guessing from this post that Denver is a city that holds a lot of conventions. Good to know that there's so much else available, as the International Association of Culinary Professionals will be holding their convention there next April. Now I have more to look forward to than just the speakers. Thanks so much.

Beyond the Convention in The Mile High City

Are you hanging out in Denver with nothing to do, a little free time on your hands between buying cowboy hats and eating chili? Okay, okay, maybe there's something going on there that's keeping you from enjoying the city's charms. But check it out, Denver actually has lots to offer if you're there for reasons other than the convention.
Conventional Wisdom: Denver is a roundup of Intelligent Travel's favorite eats and diversions in the city. Tamales? Yes, please. The post has a handful of other links for travelers looking for stuff to do in Denver and neighboring Boulder.

CNN Travel says you need to head off to Highlands Square for shopping and dining in a transitioning neighborhood. To me, that means the hipsters are moving in and that you can probably get good coffee and decent vegitarian chow. But I could be wrong. Let me know, wouldja?

Mary Jo's Fly Away Cafe suggests 12 Things to Do BESIDES the Convention. Whoa, the Denver Art Museum looks like it's worth visiting just for the architecture alone.

Driving Miss Willow has a post with a few cool day trips from denver including a train ride and some way cool geology.

And here's I Live Here! Ask Me! with the local scoop.Apparently, there's awesome honey in Denver. Who knew?
