It was a kids store that sold mostly<br /> clothes, but they also have dolls. She decided that she wanted one. I<br /> have no problems with getting her a doll, if it's what she wants (read,<br /> if it's not forced on her by a member of my family) so I went down the<br /> rows asking her which one she wanted. She chose one (after rejecting many). It was actually very cute and completely appropriate. It wasa &quot;baby&quot; doll that can drink and pee. It had a diaper and a bottle and a little potty.</span></p> <p>I went up to the cash to pay for this doll (it was her birthday present,<br /> which she got yesterday on her birthday) and the woman pointed out that<br /> she had chosen the &quot;boy&quot; doll. I said, I know. She asked Peanut if she<br /> wanted the &quot;girl&quot; doll instead. I really wanted to smack her. Just<br /> because it has a pink package doesn't mean that my girl has to have it.<br /> She asked a few times and I finally told her, no, she chose this one<br /> herself and it is the one she wants!
