Maybe it Is Black and White

Maybe this election really is black and white: we have one candidate who is foaming at the mouth for war (what did he really learn in his prison cell? Is it the desire for vengence?) and one who really seems to embody the strong statesman.

What I truly don't get, call me naive, is how can people really think that war is the answer to anything. Are they not reading the papers. Oh, I forgot, you're not allowed to show body bags or pictures from funerals. Do people not get that belligerence, whether by a person or a nation, is not good. What the heck do they learn in church on Sunday? Is it just that we are better than the rest? Shouldn't it be that we want to help the rest in a kind and caring way?

Amen!

Amen, Rebellious!! The madness DOES have to stop which is why we need Barack Obama to win this election. I can think of two countries right off that McCain would just LOVE to confront (Iran and Russia) and it scares the hell out of me!

Alaska on Her Mind

I think it's fine giving her a few days to cram. The problem with cramming is that you never really know the material, and you'll think that what you know is all there is to know. And, since you are so busy with other things, you won't have time to get to things in depth. So, if this had been someone who had at least always been interested in world events, and had been reading up on things and discussing them and developing an opinion and outlook that would be one thing, and not just someon gearing up to face the scrutiny of talk shows. But we seem to be talking of someone who has had only Alaska on her mind, that is truly not encouraging. And her "big boss," they one who she might be looking up to, would be McCain who seems cringing to start his own war. We need to stop the madness, not get into more of it.

Reason for the no-show

Sarah isn't on the talk show circuit because she's busy "cramming" for the upcoming debates. She's got one of Bush's cronies giving her all the answers to the possible questions, and tutoring her on world leaders and the countries they run, bringing her up to speed on the current Russia/Georgia situation, etc. It is MY view that once the conventions were over, the debating should have begun immediately between the two VP candidates. If it had, American would see how incredibly naive Sarah is when it comes to world politics. It's a scary thought to picture her anywhere near the White House!

Still In the Fold

This election or the talking about the election is getting weirder and weirder by the minute, I mean have we landed in Oz? I'm not even going into the fact that from what I know there isn't one thing that Palin and I agree on. And from what I understand, my very existence might bother her as well since I am Jewish, and the founder of Jews for Jesus was recently at her church where they were collecting for him to "save us."

And not even going into a discussion about what I would do if my 17-year-old daughter was pregnant (THIS BETTER NOT BE TRUE) I might tell people in a non-embarassed tone of voice about it but I wouldn't bring her into my classroom with me to use as a sign or symbol or representation of anything and I would use this time to spin the world away from me and onto her and letting her clearly think out her future.

But what gets me most riled up is the double standard of her standard bearers. One playing field. That's what we should have. How you address Obama should be how you address McCain. How you seek to understand attitude, and stances, and policies from Biden should be the same for Palin. And that is what really upsets me. The nerve!

Not Incorrect, Sarcastic!

I thought that my sarcasm was obvious. But, I guess from reading some people's comments, you could think that I was serious. Sarcasm Central. I could just imagine the McCain camp picking that mommy line up and really believing it. Oh wait, that is what they are doing.

You're incorrect. You cannot

You're incorrect.

You cannot assume that because Palin is a mother that she can answer questions about foreign policy. Or nuclear materials control. Or the economy.

If Palin can't be questioned on those issues because she is too busy being a mother, then she is too busy to be Vice President. Or a Presiden, should something happen to McCain.

How absurd.

Motherhood Trumps Need for Talk Shows

Why does Sarah Palin have to talk to the press? She obviously knows how to talk and explain, she is a mother. All mothers need to "use their words" when talking to their children, and since she has five children, she obvioulsy knows how to use her words. I think that this exempts her from needing to do the talk shows. And Hillary, because she only had one child, needed to go on the talk shows, because there wasn't enough proof that she could use her words.

Sarah "No Show" Palin

First, McCain's campaign has said that Palin won't speak to the Press:

Watch video here

She is also the only one of the four absent from the Sunday A.M. political show line up this weekend.

Palin insists that she could take on foreign leaders but is too scared to show up for questions from the Press?

Doesn't sound very gutsy to me.
