I love spring!!

I look forward to spring and the arrival of Champagne Mangoes from wherever. They are one reason to not take part in a 100 mile diet in the spring. I could give up bananas, but not my yearly treat.

Today I'm making my first rhubarb pie of the season.

Think spring ... think strawberries, think rhubarb (even if, technically, rhubarb's a vegetable). But in the food blog world, spring's favorite fruit turns out to be ... banana!

Food Beam gives a twist to a childhood favorite in a banana and muscavado sugar cake, Something So Clever moans over her banana butterscotch cake and Baking Sheet, after many tries, manages to produce a banana oatmeal cookie that tastes like a banana bread but has the consistency of a cookie.
