I love spring!!

I look forward to spring and the arrival of Champagne Mangoes from wherever. They are one reason to not take part in a 100 mile diet in the spring. I could give up bananas, but not my yearly treat.

Today I'm making my first rhubarb pie of the season.

Fruits of Spring

Think spring ... think strawberries, think rhubarb (even if, technically, rhubarb's a vegetable). But in the food blog world, spring's favorite fruit turns out to be ... banana!

For the Morning
From Our Kitchen bakes banana scones and A Veggie Way raves about whole wheat banana muffins.

For the Sweet Times
Food Beam gives a twist to a childhood favorite in a banana and muscavado sugar cake, Something So Clever moans over her banana butterscotch cake and Baking Sheet, after many tries, manages to produce a banana oatmeal cookie that tastes like a banana bread but has the consistency of a cookie. Congratulations, Nic!
