For while I rarely feel this way about any public figure, my love for Marrit of <a href="http://www.suite102.com/baldo/">Baldo</a> truly borders on fangirlish. Whenever I see that she's posted new content, I get all a-twitter with excitement and want to, like, call all my girlfriends just to exclaim "OH. MY. GOD. She's <em>dreeeeamy</em>!"</p> <p>No, seriously. [cough]</p> <p>Besides her most righteous blog, Marrit writes a kick-ass column for <a href="http://www.austinmama.com">Austinmama.com</a> called <a href="http://www.austinmama.com/momandpopculture.htm"><em>Mom &amp; Pop Culture</em></a> that has taken on everything from <a href="http://www.austinmama.com/momandpopculturefour.htm">Neil Pollak's Alternadad bluster</a> to <a href="http://www.austinmama.com/momandpopculturetwo.htm">the MILF phenomenon</a>, and every time I read what she's written on any subject, I have the weird feeling that she's somehow tapped directly into my brain, and managed to beautifully articulate things that I too think and feel, but could never find the appropriate forum to write about. And <em>that</em>, my friends, is what we call GOOD WRITIN'! </p> <p>And, in addition to all of this, she's written a book about her struggle with postpartum depression; you can (and should) read an excerpt from that <a href="http://marrit.info/excerpt.html">here</a>. </p> <p>Oh, and have I mentioned that she's, like, <em>so</em> totally cute, too?!
