An actor on the American television soap opera <i>The Bold and The Beautiful</i>, he also has a video log (<a href="http://danielmcvicar.blogspot.com/">The McVlog</a>) where he provides "profiles and interviews on subjects as diverse as politics, culture, nightlife, and, of course, tech culture."</p> <p>My girls Meghan Townsend of <a href="http://mydogharriet.blogspot.com/">I'm ablogging</a>; Jenn Satterwhite of BlogHer, <a href="http://www.mommyneedscoffee.com/">Mommy Needs Coffee</a>, and <a href="http://trendytweens.clubmom.com/">Hip Mom and Trendy 'Tweens</a>; and Jenny Lauck of <a href="http://threekidcircus.com/threekidcircus/">Three Kid Circus</a> and <a href="http://bigslice.clubmom.com/">Big Slice of Life</a> -- AKA: The <a href="http://www.mommybloggers.com">Mommybloggers</a> -- were <a href="http://danielmcvicar.blogspot.com/2006/08/blogher-box-set.html">interviewed</a> by McVicar at the conference.</p> <p>In <a href="http://danielmcvicar.blogspot.com/2006/08/blogher-box-set.html">the video interview</a>, Meghan, Jenn, and Jenny tell the story of how they met at last year's BlogHer when they were invited to lead the mommyblogging session. They reveal how their outrage at the negativity surrounding the term "mommyblogger" led them to start their site, <a href="http://www.mommybloggers.com">www.mommybloggers.com</a>, which promotes individual mommybloggers in a three-phase process: an interview, praise from readers, and a guest essay.</p> <p>It's a great interview and those who were surprised at the number of mommybloggers at this year's BlogHer conference in particular should watch it. In their support of the mommyblogging community, these three women played a large role in the rise of mommybloggers from marginalized to extremely well-represented group of BlogHer conference attendees.</p> <p>Daniel McVicar was a good interviewer who let the women tell their story.
