Summer Ennui

It's not just me. It's happening throughout the blogosphere. I check out the quilting blogs; everyone's talking about their garden. I check out the knitters; everyone's talking about food. I check out the crafters; they're on vacation.

The summer ennui hit big time late May and has lingered throughout the summer.

Finally, though, there are signs that we are getting over it!!

Quilters got stitching and blogging again:

Gabrielle has returned to blogging at Handmaiden after taking most of the spring and summer off.

Deb L. is being creating... Candy Bowl Panic is just her latest, sweetest work.

Dijanne Cervaal has stitched 72 squares differently, and written the how-to book about it.

Sharon B. is asking "What's Inside Your Sewing Basket?"

And Mrs. Mel felt an urgent need to create.

Knitters Picked Up Thier Sticks...

Virgin Wool is crawlin'..

The Spinning Goth has been toying around...

See Eunny Knit a sweet sweater...

Over on the Crafty Side,

Wee Wonderful has been hopping.

Cheeky Beaks is all about sewing...

Bird in the Hand thinks her life is a work in progress.

Angry Chicken's been x-ing.

Grumpy Shopkeeper has been puppeting...

Crafty Girl announced her return with a fabulous photo..

But Crafty McGee is still on vacation... perhaps permanently... and
Christina Rosalie of My Topography hasn't chilled this summer. Infact she's overscheduled and asking:

Seriously, I want to know your strategies. How do you manage your time? What tools do you use? How do you plan for rest and play and productivity? How do you avoid over scheduling/exhaustion?
