haven't tried making much on my own.

Abuse of Power

Greetings

I am currently attempting to support a family who has had their children taken from them. The Ministry has never acquired or found any evidence of abuse whatsoever and yet retain possession of the children.

I know this family and can attest to thier innocence.

It doesn't matter how much we cooperate with the Ministry, it doesn't matter how reasonable our requests are, it doesn't matter that the emergency room doctor who midiagnosed the baby girl in question altered radiology reports to coincide with her original diagnosis, the ministry simply ignores our pleas and threatens to reduce visitation rights in order to 'break the bond' and reduce the anxiety visitation places upon the children.

I am so absolutely disgusted with the Ministry and how unethical and spineless they all are. In your experience have you found a way to effectively fight back? Letters, character references, cooperation, independent research, family lawyers, nothing is working. We feel powerless and the family is hurting so much.

Please advise.

Women can be great leaders; but not all women are.

I am listening to Sarah Palin at the moment. I don't know much about her. She isn't an eloquesnt speaker and in that arena, is not in the league of Hillary Clinton. Nor are the issues she is being associated with ones that I feel strongly about.

I have admired Clinton; and I admire the progressive views dear to her. If McCain thinks Palin would attract me, just because she could be a first woman VP, it shows, again, how tremendously out of touch he is. I will be remembering Hillary's encouragement to stay true to the progressive movement and leadership. She's being typically courageous and is right, in her conviction.

cooking school in Florence

Scanning through food blogs on BlogHer, I happily came upon this one and remembered a very nice day after 5 years ago when I and about 4 other women took a cooking class with Judy. We shopped, cooked, ate, drank and were gifted with aprons & cookbooks at the end. I also fondly remember the spaghetti cooked in chianti.

I don't blame you. I would love to have tea at bricklady's house too. I want a house like this. I just know I was meant to be born in the Victorian Era. Someone made a mistake. Ahhh, maybe some day.
