Perfect t-shirt bra

@Lizzy Ann:If you've got bra bulge, you may be wearing the wrong size bra. Is the band level? Or riding up? If it's too big, it will push up (and push up your back with it).

My second fave T-shirt bra is Chantelle Africa. My favorite is Marie Jo Avero, but it's very expensive and hard to find in the US.

for the well endowed

The best selling t-shirt bra for the full bust is Panache's Porcelain bra. It is molded, I think it goes to at least a G cup and maybe higher, back size probably 30-38.

I'm not a big wearer of t-shirt bras currently, but my previous favorite was fantasie smoothing line, unmolded. great shape, price point and longevity. just what we need from our underpinnings.

Try Sassybax for an all-over smooth

The biggest problem I see with wearing a tee shirt is how it looks from the back if you've got bra bulge. It makes any shirt look cheap, even if it's a designer version. I say go with my favorite, a Sassybax shapewear bra, to give it a polished look. Bonus: You look thinner without bra bulge across your back, too. www.sassybax.com

Oh no...

I had never seen that Spanx bra before, and it looks incredibly comfortable. Paying $62 for a single bra would cause me to go into cardiac arrest, though, so I may just have to wait and see if it ever goes on sale!

My current favorite t-shirt bras have, of course, been discontinued. Because every time Warner makes a bra that I love, they stop making it. Not that I'm bitter.

I'm unable to wear a back-clasp bra, because having that lump on my back drives me insane. (I also cannot sleep with a pea under the mattress.) Wearing only front-clasp models seriously limits my choices, so I'm always up for learning about new possibilities. Thanks!

guys opinion

I agree with what these ladys say. If a guy will fidn afult in your breast and run away then that guy may jsut find another reason to leave. I personally like a good shaped breast, but real are better. I have dated a few mothers and breast was not a deal breaker. I promise you that if you can show a man a good time, communicate at the same level, give him freedom, and let him have a healthy sex life there will not be a problem. The best relationship did not come from the woman that looked the best. It was with the person that let me be me, we had a good time, and she enjoyed and wated our sex life. I say keep yoru natural breast, find a good man, and if it helps your selfesteem get plastic surgery. Greater selfesteem with increase your intamcy with a man.

I went through years of

I went through years of insecurity about my breasts (not droopy but almost non-existant, being built like a pre-pubescent boy till I was about 17 and being smaller than an A-cup till I was almost 21.) It took a while, but I've since learned to completely love my body, and I really wish every woman could feel as comfortable in their own skin as I do. Going from feeling self-conscious to confident was one of the most liberating transitions of my life.

I'd also take real breasts over fake (both on myself and on anyone else) any day. Having worked in and stayed in close contact with the adult entertainment industry for many years, I've seen probably more than my fair share of implants and very, very, very few were really specatularly good. Even the expensive jobs done by highly regarded surgeons tended to have issues that made them look unnatural and unappealing - excessively firm, no movement, nipples in all the wrong places, scarring, uneveness, unnatural shape, skin puckering around the sides when leaning forward, weird creases etc.

While I'm sure breast implants are good for some women and keep them happy and feeling better about their bodies, I'd have to say that they're highly overrated. And with all the mediocre results I've seen out there I can say unequivocally that I'd rather have breats that were imperfect because of living life, than breasts that were imperfect because of a surgery that was supposed to make me feel better about myself.

Because I have a daughter

Izzymom and I talked about this a few months back and something she said stuck with me.

We live in Florida so are more than familiar with breast enhancement surgery - and both applaud women who do that for themselves. But, as she said, "I can't figure out a way to explain to my daughter how me doing that does NOT mean she has to look perfect."

I keep looking at my body and imagining that someday my daughter's body might very closely resemble this one. How do I want her to feel about it?

From Perky to Droopy

From what I understand of gravity and my own breastial experience, during sex breasts are rarely perky. They're lying down in one direction or the other in disarray, or hanging in mid air like some horrible pendulums, so I wouldn't let lack of perkiness be a concern of yours. And if a 40-or 30-something guy is not attracted to a woman because she can hold a box of crayola crayons under her breast, then he would find fault in something else anyway. Maybe when you meet men you could tell them that it's all an illusion, and if he doesn't go screaming, you can continue.

ANY change in size requires a new bra

Losing or gaining any significant weight means that your bra probably doesn't fit right (and ten pounds can be enough to throw you off, really). Pregnancy will also change your bra size, both during and after.

The great thing about knowing what size you REALLY are, right now, is that you can go to places like HerRoom and order bras online -- the selection may be better than your local department store or lingerie boutique, and the prices are often hard to beat.

Now maybe this will kick me into getting measured

I agree, that the annual bra shopping is even lower on my 'fun' scale than a pelvic exam but after the information you've shared Susan, sounds like I should double check with an expert. I gained some weight a couple of years ago, and when I went shopping automatically went to a D when my C cup 'overfloweth.'

And that's my other gripe--you hit the dreaded D, and the variety drops considerably, so I really feel for the ladies that need to go larger.

Thanks for sharing!

What timing!

I just did my annual bra-shopping-trip last week. UGH I hate it, mostly because I never did like dressing rooms. But it's far far better now that I know how to get the right fit, and what 'type' is going to be comfortable, and last; plus I found a shop I love and can count on for good service and quality. I got lucky this time--I came home with five, and (weirdly) they're all lovely, not the granny-bra I sometimes have to fall back on.

What I can't stand is that if the bra manufacturers take their cute little 32A bra and decide to make a 32F version (my size) they still keep the skinny little ribbon straps and the single hook in the back...uh, duh?

Loved the post; getting the right fit makes a world of difference.

I couldn't believe the difference in comfort, once measured/resized. (I "fit" the profile, band too big, cup too small.) I did buy just one new bra in the new size but look forward, for the first time in forever, for picking up new ones! Luckily I'm due ...
