Shooting themself in the foot

A Hillary supporter who would vote for McCain would be shooting theirself in the foot. Why would you vote for someone who is that far from the belief system of Hillary?

Anybody who's paid attention to the market would know that. :-) I'll have to check out this book.

People who are in the business of crafting messages, selling a product, or pundrity like to segment the population as much as they can so they'll know who they're targeting and sometimes even who they're disrpespecting. You've probably also seen the other name for "Hillary women," angry white women. Pop culture loves buzz phrases.

From what I know of human psychology, I doubt that a Hillary supporter who is really angry about Obama getting the nomination will vote for McCain. That would be pretty spiteful and stupid of anyone who doesn't want to see more Bush policy pushed through in Washington.

However, I wouldn't be suprised to learn that angry people stay home and don't vote at all. Anger tends to make us self-centered. How will the election be impacted if disgruntled folks who believe they've been disenfranchised choose to stay home from the polls?

Remember that poor black people who believe the system is against them have stayed home for years, and they're probably worse off for that inaction.

I think educated American women who want to move this country forward will vote in November because they want to make this country better and not do something less just to spite the DNC or Obama supporters. I don't think women who've supported Hillary will play the sterotype of "a woman scorned."

I want to believe women are not the puppets some in the media would like us to believe they are.

I Will Be Watching Michelle Obama On "The View"

I understand being upset with being labelled. As women, as black women, as Asian women, as older women, as younger women, we have a lot in common, but we are not all the same. The media uses these labels because it's a nice shorthand for them and helps to create buzzwords and promos that catch people's attention.

It's up to us not to buy into these stereotypes and instead be who we really are.

You know once November comes along I think the wounds will heal. Their is some ill will on both sides, I say lets get over it and move on.

I guess it is easy for me to say, I voted for Obama.

Hillary's women should definitely support Obama b/c we sure as hell are sure that McCain won't support them. Or anyone for that matter.
