Whew...

You gals are so nice. I was waiting for people telling me how disgusting that is. It really is quite good. When my grandmother makes them, she invites the whole family over and she just places plates stacked with bread, tomatoes, bologna and onions and we have a free-for-all. We each eat at least two sandwiches :)

mmmmm

I am a fried green tomatoes fan but it's hard to find good ones in restaurants. For those coming to the Chicago area, don't bother trying Obama's recommended restaurant Dixie Kitchen & Bait Shop - their fried green tomatoes - not good.

Can't say I've ever had a fried green tomato sandwich. I want one!

Bologna?

First of all, I had never heard of a fried green tomato sandwich (but then I'm also not from the south). But the bologna surprised me. I grew up on fried bologna sandwiches and we sometimes had fried bologna for breakfast with our eggs instead of bacon and sausage. But it surprised me here. Cool!

Ah meatloaf

I have a love/hate thing with meatloaf. I don't really like it because I had it so much as a child. But, when it's good... it's really good. Cold meatloaf sandwich leftovers - excellent! :-)

I can't do the crawfish but the chicken, I'm in! Yat's only really makes it with Crawfish but occasionally they have it with chicken and when I tried it, I fell in love! Sinfully delish!

Home made yogurt is all natural. I hope you got the culture from an Indian restuarant or an Indian lady, the cultures have been maintained for generations...............

I am vegetarian, so I cant comment about your recipe but Madhur Jaffrey has great vegetarian recipes as well.
