Everyone wore shorts and t-shirts, or worse. But now that I'm in Washington DC I've realized it's networking central. I'm constantly running in to acquaintances of mine or my husband's, usually professionals in suits. Since I work from home I don't put too much effort into my work clothes. But now I suddenly do for my errands-running clothes.
