Just proves that advertisers can make anything sound like sex.
I entered "Web Teacher" and the slogan came back: Do the Web Teacher.
I entered "Mastering HTML and CSS" and the slogan came back: Splash Mastering HTML and CSS All Over.

What a stupidly funny mismatch of messages.

OK, just one more thing ;-)

In trying to listen to the files, my computer (a Mac G3, B&W) locked up several times and had to be rebooted due to the large size of the files trying to playback via the browser. :-|

Had I known in advance that the files were 44.9MB and 66.8MB, I would have downloaded them to the desktop first, then played them.

Perhaps you could append your link descriptions to indicate the file sizes? For example, like this:

Day One Lunch Keynote Recording (44.9MB)
Day Two Closing Keynote Recording (66.8MB)

Thanks Elisa,

...that these are posted. Much needed additional insight in to what happened at BlogHer for those of us who weren't there. Hooray.

OK, "downloadable audio files" was a bit wordy, but I have changed "podcasts" to "recordings."

Thanks!

Actually...I'm just impatient

OK, sorry pedants ;)

Actually, our friends at ListenShare are putting all of our podcasts up on iTunes, YouTube etc. etc., but these little recordings were burning a hole in my Inbox, and I just wanted to get them up for people to listen to.

I will now go edit the post to say "downloadable audio files"!

Yup - that's right.

Maxine Sherrin's got a great article/podcast all about podcasting here:

Just being pedantic - these are great of course, but wouldn't it be better if the files were announced as individual posts, in (for example) the '06 Podcasts category, with the files added as enclosures? That way, a podcatching client (iTunes, Juice, whatever) can subscribe to that feed, and the files downloaded automatically.

That is what podcasting is about - otherwise, they're just downloadable audio files.

Anyway, if Drupal can't handle that (and I'd be surprised if *that* was the case) then I'll gladly host a feed at my site, but not the files themselves - they'd still be downloaded from the BlogHer site.
