Dialogue for the Duo

I had one of those marriages, now I divorced and still doing it all on my own, but without the financial support.

This is a conversation that the couple needs to have. The working spouse needs to take on childcare or homecare responsibility. Most importantly, the stay-at-home-spouse needs to be valued for the work she/he does and not feel that she/he can't complain to the other spouse because s/he supports her/him. This is critical. Everyone's role is vital--the breadwinner's and the breadmaker's.
