power of the day

i couldn't agree more! i really love the "power of the day" phrase and may have to call on mine, daily, whatever they may be :) Flexibility, for sure! Acceptance would be a good one for me, today. Of others, of self?

i wish i could call on a good-hair power today. no such luck.

~christy (claiming superhero status, bad hair nonwithstanding)

SuperHero Mom

Perhaps flexibility is the key power of a SuperHero Mom. As the saying goes, whatever makes you happy, or makes you feel "job well done," is the power of the day. And you know, I think that somedays just having a shower and slumping on the couch deserves SuperHero status if that is what you need to get back to it day after day.

Laura (former stay-at-home mom, teacher now, so I guess I am a stay-in-school-mom, just with lots of other people's kids).

I am sometimes shocked anyone would read the stuff I write because it does seem rather depressing at times. But it's also truthful and honest and it is what it s.

thank you for seeing strength and courage in it.

You are awesome!

I felt your pain as I read your post. I do not have a kid with cancer but just being a mom alone has already taught me so much about growing up. I can bet that it would be many times harder as a mom to a child with a life threatening illness.

I admire your strength and courage to write this post. It is inspirational, despite the fact that it is not about some pretty picture. Thanks for sharing something that touched my heart.

Hugs,

It certainly changes your priorities and puts things in perspective when you realize how fragile life is. It awakens you to all the things you take for granted.

Thanks,

Thank you for writing such a lovely post. It's truly inspirational. When there's sickness in your family, suddenly you realize what really matters and what really doesn't.
