Blinc Kiss Me is the best Mascara. Ever. Hands down. Pricy to be sure, but never runs, never drips. From our perspective, at bitchesonabudget.com, it's one of those items worth saving for a splurge!

I go through so many different mascaras , always looking for 'the one'. Sephora makes a great mini-sampler that usually has 10 of their best sellers. The cost is between $18 and $30, depending on the time of year, and they usually last me a few months, even after splitting them with my daughter.

My fave is still Bad Gal by benefit and my daughter's new fave is by Givenchy, which is ridiculously expensive...probably why she picked it!

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

I am so glad you reviewed this product, because I was SERIOUSLY frightened by the look of it. I mean... how coordinated do you have to be to use it?? I would totally poke myself in the eye, I just know it.

I love it! You're right - that is SO not okay. Mascara can be such a crap shoot, though, and the tv ads are no help at all since it is SO INCREDIBLY OBVIOUS that the models are wearing falsies. No human being has lashes like that, so stop lying to us!!

I have the same problem you showed with a Trish McEvoy mascara I got and I had to drop-kick it, too. I honestly think that Maybelline Great Lash is the best mascara on the market. No matter how many times I try something pricey & fancy in an attempt to class myself up.

Ahh great tips! Do you love the ELF products? Because a mineral makeup starter kit for $20 would really make me happy, I can't afford the $60 Bare Mineral one anymore! Lately I've been trying a few different makeup products and have (unfortunately) learned that regular liquid foundation and my horrible skin do NOT mix. My makeup routine since that discovery has mostly been doing whatever I can to heal my skin and cover up ugly blemishes.

I've been hearing about it more and more and think it's about time I picked some up.

I've never worn a lot of make-up, but the older I get I notice that I'm wearing it more often. I do it to even out my skin tone and hopefully to make me look more "finished". I discovered mineral products a few years ago and still use them, but I have to apply with a really light hand or else they like to settle in the lines. And no amount of mineral veil fixes that!

Heather, your after picture is great. I love natural looks for myself and yours is perfect. Thanks for the tips.

That is all. No concealer. I own concealer but do I know where it is? No. I usually only use it in the summer when I want some coverage but not too much.

You are so lucky you don't need to use concealer! Do you use the primer instead of concealer? Or do you just not need it? I'm considering this primer business, since everyone is absolutely right, your skin does look good!

If you use a mineral powder you want natural brush. If you use a liquid you want a synthetic brush. Dab foundation on spots that need the most coverage and to get a really good blend going using a kabuki brush.

Another pro-tip is using water to bring out the color payoff in your eyeshadows so you can get brilliant purples and intense pinks, even without the MAC price tag.

I would love to see your whole face here!! Your cat eye is a lott less dramatic than I thought it would be. Check out Young, Fat and Fabulous' take on the severe cat eye. I'm a little pouty about this because I don't have enough eye area to pull it off :-(.

Excellent post, Suzanne! I hadn't been aware of this until a couple years ago when reading a blog post you wrote. After reading your post I decided that if I needed an item and if the money for it went to research if I bought it in pink, then I would go head and buy it. Even if only 2 cents was going towards research, I was planning on the buying the product anyway so why not give that measley two cents. Now though I'm angry by the fact that some many corporations are using breast cancer to their advantage. It actually bothers me when I see the pink displays in the stores. I haven't bought anything for breast cancer awarenss month in a long time. I would muchy rather donate money directly towards research. Like someone else wrote though, I would wear a pink ribbon if they were handing them out at our gym or if in fact of course the money was legitimately going to research because someone like you was selling them. Thanks for the link!
