ShalilahCongratulations to you. I do the same thing with makeup when it changes colors or had it for months and never use it. I admire people like you who have the sense to do it.

I heard that Bobbi Brown products or expensive but I think I'll check into them. Maybe I can catch a gift purchase sale and get trial sizes.

Oh! Make-up brushes!

My favorites are from The Body Shop because they are vegan and all that happiness while still being silky soft. I absolutely adore them.

The worst? I think they might have been Avon or something my mom gave me once. It was one of those cheap packs for like $5. They felt so scratchy on my skin. I couldn't even use them. That was years ago though. I think they improved them.

Yes! Throw out the crappy brushes that come with your make-up. They do make a difference! I wash mine with Cetaphil or Baby bath - whatever's handy.

Oh, and my brushes are from Helena Rubinstein.

As an Avon representative I've taken time to play around with a lot of the different makeup brushes that Avon has, and the neatest ones they offer are part of their mark Hook-ups system.

Hook-Up's are so cool because they're modular and provide portability. The Hook-up connector goes in the middle and then you order your choice of makeup and brushes to hook up at the ends. You can customize to exactly what you like.

If you're in the market for new brushes and portability is a consideration, you might want to check them out.

I love my Mac Foundation Brush - but I'm in the market for every other kind of brush. I have a meet mark eyeshadow brush that is OKAY, but it was a gift with purchase, so I have a HUNCH there is something better out there.

I use a Tinted Lip Conditioner from MAC (several colors, SPF 15, $14.50) that I have really liked for years. The same little tub of it for years, in fact. I'll admit that it may be time to retire it and get a new one, but it still smells good and looks the same. The SPF may be worn off by now, though... Regardless, it's another option that I've found works nicely.

I know this has nothing to do with SPF for lips but I happened upon a Bobbi Brown product that is most useful! I suffer from Alopecia Areata - which is a disease that causes hair loss. I lost my hair, eyelashes and brows 7 years ago. Recently my brows decided to make a reappearance but with non-pigmented hair! Bobbi Brown is so clever - she makes mascara for brows. I've used the Neutrogena version. I'm very fair and I burn easily. It does all it's supposed to do and it's great if you're on a cartoonists (tight) budget.
