I predict the winner....

I've not been a real fan of Leanne's, but I see Tim and Heidi and the judges just fawning over the "architectural" aspect of her work over and over again, and I now predict she will win.

That wedding dress was pretty amazing. Extremely sophisticated.

That said, I always liked Jerell's over-the-top work, and I will miss him!

Kenley needs some maturation time, in more ways than one.

GO Leanne!

I was surprised that Leanne made it past the first round, but since that time, I have been quietly rooting for her. Although she has mousy very girl-in-the-corner features, her work is beautiful. I LOVED her wedding dress rendition. I was avant garde, and made me think of Carrie's (SJP) dresses in Sex and the City The Movie. So, GO LEANNE (And KORTO).

Tell Kenley to sit down!!!

We're not all boring!

(Though, there is a place in Oregon called Boring.) I honestly think that's just Leanne's personality. Way back at the beginning, she called herself a fashion assassin. That made me think of a ninja. She made it to the final three and her work probably speaks louder than she does.

It is surprising that Jerrell didn't make it to the final three. That said, with the knowledge that so many of this season's contestants showed at Bryant Park last month, I'm hopeful he'll find someone to take a chance on his work and help him in refining his pieces.

It's a shame Jerell went before Kenley. Leanne, dull and boring though she may be, does have some sense of style.

Even though Korto landed in the bottom 2 during the last 2 challenges, I believe she has a certain something that the other women do not have. I'll be rooting for her.

And if she doesn't take the top prize, I won't be too upset. Heidi Klum has the fashion IQ of a grandma wearing Go Go boots and a blonde beehive. JMHO.

Always in trouble...

Kenley should have been gone a long time ago. Maybe they think bitchiness is good TV?

Yes, the twist thing is getting out of hand. I want then just to go head and give it to Korto.

Disappointing...all of it

The Final Four all creating collections is one in a long line of disappoints for me during this season of PR. Last season it worked because you knew that the judges wanted to ax Chris but the guest judge raved all about his designs so you know that is why Chris' score was high enough to let him stay for another round. Sadly, he didn't make to Bryant Park. A shame because I wanted to see the rest of what he did with those hair extensions!

This season, well, it's all full of wacky decisions more than normal and some just silly. I hope Lifetime doesn't follow in Season 5's footsteps next season!

Why don't decorating and DIY projects always work out like they do on TV? Condo Blues http://condo-blues.blogspot.com/

Kenley Should Have Been Toast

Not just because she's obnoxious---trolling around on a tugboat your whole childhood will do that to you apparently---but because she's been coasting the last three weeks. She should have been dumped last week because of that "oh, so not hip hop outfit," and this week she was just an unholy pill.

I was kinda frustrated the judges were so polite with her considering she even dissed Heidi. And she'll never get back into my good graces after back talking Tim Gunn a couple of weeks ago.

So hopefully she'll come up with more scaly mermaids in her collection and finally get tossed out on her little tugboat keister.

The Phantom Designer...

I hate the use of the phantom designer. It worked the first time because nobody expected it. But we should know that at least one of them has made it into the tent (it would be the winner Jerrell). And the elimination should in part be based upon the hot messes they threw on the runway this week.

This year the actual show was live twittered, so it's not that hard (still) to know who's going to be in the big tent. Just eliminate one and let us concentrate on the three going all the way.

Please.

While I do catch Ghost Hunters from time to time, I find myself longing for the fiction in the Science Fiction Channel (thank you Battlestar Galactica).

Thanks for the peek at Sanctuary, and I look forward to Amanda Tapping's Q&A!

Sci-fi actors typecast?

Deb,

I think it is more the effect of fandom. Sci fi fans are pretty loyal and tend to follow their favorites to the next thing. If you are producing a new show, and can sign an actor who comes with a fan base, why wouldn't you.

From the actor's perspective, especially as they reach the more seasoned age (30s, 40s) there might also be a tendency to stay with sci fi/fantasy because they like the way the fans treat them.

Tapping did a great Q&A over the weekend. I'm going to try to post that tomorrow.

While I'm still glad I have the SCiFi network (BattleStar Galactica and Eureka... thank you), I find I watch it less and less as their offerings become not what I would call SciFi.

Will look forward to Sanctuary. Which leads me to a long-time question: do actors get type-cast as "good in scifi?" Is sure seems that many of them, once they take on a sci-fi role, keep re-appearing in the genre.

Seriously, Kenley needs a spanking. That girl is way too enamored with herself, and downright disrespectful to the judges and Tim. Who ignores Tim on this show and does well?? Plus, that garment was atrocious. I really wanted to like her in the beginning, now I can't wait till she goes home.
