I always have 4 veggies on the table and ask them to choose at least 2. Works every time. I also cut back on red meat and give cut up fresh fruit instead of juices. My kids eat very healthy and balanced.

Friends Through Thick and Thin....Literally

My best friend and I had babies together, between us 8. Our bodies really got out of shape, and we both lost weight together. We walked 3 miles 5x a week, and encouraged each other. Friends through thick and thin indeed!

I always soothed my babies by cuddling and talking to them in a hushed voice. Rocking and nursing also worked as well.

I love the sleek design of the equinox, it is really a nice looking crossover. I also commute a lot and love how fuel efficient it is. It seems we spend so much money on gas between our two vehicles, especially our larger suv. We've been wanting to get a crossover and I loved learning about this one. I'd love to go to a dealership and test drive one.

The DVD screens

I know this is one of the crazier answers but I like how the DVD screens fold up and out from behind the seat. That way they can be hidden from view better than screens that are in the back of the headrest when they're not in use. To me, it would make the vehicle safer and less likely to be broken into.

Since moving back home i've welcomed family over. It's a great way to keep in touch. They usually make it over on the weekends and I try to have a little something around for them to be able to eat and they use the computers and maybe get some laundry done all the while we get to talk, laugh and spend time together. I'm loving it!

I really do like the fuel efficiency. I also like the 5 star crash rating which would make me feel that I and my family are a bit safer. I've always wanted to be able to have a car with dvd players installed so that my children could keep entertained on short and long road trips.

Get crafty

Unplug unwind. It can be as simple as paper, pencils and crayons or a simple inexpensive art kit that you can find at a local store. My kids most recently were very entertained as I pulled out a simple stamp kit and let them go at it. It seemed to be both soothing and relaxing and they were able to make a constituted mess. :) They also love playing around with play doh.

My son and I love to read together. He also loves to help with cooking. He helps measure and pour things for me.

Hands-on Learner

Our kids learn from hands-on activities, they love to read a book and then adventure and create from what they have read. From Lego Titanic's to pirate ships made out of horse troughs in the backyard, learning is fun at our house!

We have known each other for 32 years. WE don't live in the same state anymore but we keep in touch with phone calls. Even if we don't talk for awhile once we start talking it's like we just talked the day before.

We are not only teaching our boys to eat healthy, but also to know where their food comes from. We started a Farmer's Market in our community this past Summer and our boys grew veggies to sell and started a fresh egg business.

StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System with Traction Control & Rollover Mitigation

This feature alone is worthwhile - I lived in a suburb of Los Angeles - 1400 ft elevation and 1 mile up a windy curve - more than once has the anti-lock brakes kicked in - I can only imagine what this feature will do for the drive!
