I love home grown veggies

One of my favorite parts about warmer weather (aside from the fact that it is warmer) is when people start to grow their own veggies! Fresh vegetables and fruit straight from the garden taste the best! I also understand that the Topsy Turvy grows great veggies and fruits for people who cannot have a garden. Good luck with your garden!

Slow Food Nation

Thanks Green Bean!

I am glad that we both got to attend such an inspiring event. When I got home, I even considered planting some sort of veggie garden in my bathtub! We never use it (too big and would take too much water to fill!) and it gets some of the best light in the house. Maybe that would be taking it too far...

Do It In the Road

That was the message I got from Slow Food Nation. That and my last year of planting edible gardens in the front yard. Why not? I've gotten to know my neighbors, met and made a number of friends, watched through my front window as the seasons have come and gone (toads in the spring, squirrels scaling sunflowers in the summer) and had some really delicious food.

I too went to Slow Food Nation and came away with the desire to garden even more. To invest even more in good, clean, fair food.
