Excellent choice!

Kalyn, excellent choice and good question! It's about six blocks down Market Street from 3rd Street, but it's an easy and safe six blocks. I'd say give yourself about 15-20 minutes to get from the St. Regis to the door of the restaurant.

Slanted Door!

I think that's my pick out of all these places. (Of course I'm really an eater, not a drinker, so I'd go there mostly for the food!)

Question about the walk from St. Regis, how far is "all the way down"?

Me TOO!

Only Kahuna is not a Yank-ee. He is a surfer. Every once in a while he will try to talk like me and it just doesn't work. I mean we Texans speak a different language then the rest of the country.

Yes, a coke is a soda. A tank is a pond and if you really love someone you write it on the water tower.

Hehe too funny. I say

Hehe too funny. I say barbeque and my husband says cook out. I pronounce decal like deck-uhl and my husband says dee-cal. And my favorite, my friend went to Scotland and went for a weekend with some friends. I guess it was cold and she said, oh man I only have one pair of pants, I guess I have to wear them all weekend. Later on she found out pants actually means underwear there so her Scottish friends were a bit skeeved out by her. Gotta love the regional differences. And it is pop. :)

And yes, it was always coke first, then you get to break it down to what KIND of coke. However, after living in Arizona, Conneticut, New York and now California, I've had to change what I say so I don't actually end up with a coke.

And oh, Frito Pie and Funyuns...makes me think of high school!!

bored as anything.

talent wasted.

(not entirely sure said talents still exist)

workmates are not psycho. work is not taxing. hours are great.

and worst of all, they pay me too much. which means leaving to get a better job would almost certainly require a significant pay cut.

unfortunately, i can't run away home. i have a husband.

Know where you are coming from

I know where you are coming from. My job is busy: I work hard from the moment I arrive to the moment I leave. Yet, even so, I am totally bored.

I like my workmates lots; they are great people - friendly, warm talented and nice. But my job completely lacks intellectual challenge and it is slowly killing me. It uses 80% of my organisational abilities and about 5% of my brain.

I thought I could hack a job like this, sit back and enjoy getting paid to living in a particularly pretty part of Europe, but in fact I can't.

I can't afford to walk out, but my confidence in my abilities is sinking on a daily basis and it makes it hard to get another job. I find it hard to motivate myself to search for other jobs and I don't understand why since I hate the job I have!

Maybe its time to run away from home again.
