The idea of being a blogger as a costume is funny. My son and I recently went to a Halloween shop and the funniest costume I saw was the character Julie from the Loveboat. That really cracked me up. They also had all of the characters from Gilligan's Island.

I'm going to have to go through the costume box and see what I can come up with.

(My son would be thrilled if he could bring his costume to school.)

Oh, the Halloween gingerbread house is really cute.

but they get to bring their costume and change for the last couple of hours of the day. We have the parade and then a party in the classroom. It's pretty fun for the kids. Your Harry Potter Halloween party sounds like a great idea.

My "Blogger" costume wasn't all that exciting, but the kids got a kick out of it.

Harry Potter Halloween Party

We love celebrating Halloween at our house. For my son's 10th birthday, we had a Harry Potter-themed party. I think this would be a great theme for a Halloween party. Here's a link to my blog where I described what we did for his party:

Now I'm going to read just how you dressed as a blogger for the school Halloween parade. (I remember when they used to have costume parades at my elementary school. Sadly, this tradition has become very scarce. My son has never been able to wear a Halloween costume to school, much to his chagrin. :(

I was feeling a little wistful because I have a love for vinegar and all of it's magical properties. I believe in vinegar in much the same way that the dad from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" believes in Windex.

Bleach is new territory for me here.

I like that, particularly when we're talking about magic bleach tips. Try it the next time you carve a pumpkin, some people swear it helps.

Impressed? I sure was impressed. That was quite an assortment; and outside of your sweet 10-year-old's cute pumpkin face....hardly the 'normal' jack-o-lantern fare. They WERE crazy...and cool....and inventive. Just like your house.....Crazy and cool....and yes, even inventive.

I haven't even bought this year's pumpkin yet, and as I'm going to be on my own for Halloween this year (the Other Half will be at a conference) I don't know whether I'll celebrate it much.
