I don't think I can handle two back to back "Month of _____" anythings. Also, there is no way I could have done pumpkins and then turkeys, not this year - not with the election. The pumpkins were difficult enough.

If you can't wait til next November for Month of Turkeys, pick another theme (after November) and I'll accept that challenge. (But only if you promise to send links that will help me out.)

I used to live in a huge house with my four kitties (I was like 75% there to becoming That Cat Lady) and guess what I got every holiday? CAT STUFFS!

Calendars, hi-larious books, cat aprons, cat art. Just because I have cats doesn't mean I live and breathe cats, you know? I HATE cat stuff. Love cats.

Nowadays I try to remind people I live and breathe velvet art, since it's great to have other people with feelers out there for you. Cat stuff is easy to find, but good velvet art, not so much.

how happy all these pumpkin posts have made me. A few years ago I took the dream trip of a lifetime and spent three weeks hiking around New Zealand. They know how to treat a pumpkin, those Kiwis! Some of the most wonderful foods we had in NZ were made from pumpkins used in ways I had never dreamed possible. So all month, you've been giving me happy memories of that dream trip when pumpkin was often the best thing on the menu.
