I don't know exactly the difference between pumpkin and squash, because we don't have pumpkins here, but for the squash seeds, it is commonly salted and then dried. You can crack the shell then eat the meat inside it. Its good to eat while just killing the time or watching movies. lols.

I roast my pumpkin seeds after coating them with a touch of oil and some yummy flavoring. My daughter's favorite is brown sugar and cinnamon. Sea salt and white pepper is fan favorite and a pal of mine loves when I toss them in a bowl with fish sauce and curry powder. If you have a favorite chip, you can add the seasoning to pumpkin seeds to make them taste like that chip. In years past we've had french onion seeds, barbeque seeds and salt and vinegar. Just be sure to turn them every five minutes and to remember that the wetter they are, the longer they will take to roast!

Next year!

I don't think I can handle two back to back "Month of _____" anythings. Also, there is no way I could have done pumpkins and then turkeys, not this year - not with the election. The pumpkins were difficult enough.

If you can't wait til next November for Month of Turkeys, pick another theme (after November) and I'll accept that challenge. (But only if you promise to send links that will help me out.)

I used to live in a huge house with my four kitties (I was like 75% there to becoming That Cat Lady) and guess what I got every holiday? CAT STUFFS!

Calendars, hi-larious books, cat aprons, cat art. Just because I have cats doesn't mean I live and breathe cats, you know? I HATE cat stuff. Love cats.

Nowadays I try to remind people I live and breathe velvet art, since it's great to have other people with feelers out there for you. Cat stuff is easy to find, but good velvet art, not so much.
